Traditional access management methods are human-intensive and often have significant blind spots, making it challenging to manage access risks effectively. As a Principal AI/ML Engineer at Oleria, you will play a key role in driving innovation and shaping the future of enterprise cybersecurity. Working closely with the Chief Software Architect, you will contribute to the research, prototyping, design, and implementation of AI-powered features for our rapidly growing cybersecurity startup. Oleria is on a mission to revolutionize access management, and your AI expertise will be essential in achieving this ambitious goal.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and Prototype: Conduct research in AI, focusing on areas such as access graph analysis, threat detection, workflow orchestration, and natural language processing. Develop prototypes to guide product development.
  • Design and Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI-based features for the Oleria platform. Contribute to the architecture that aligns with our mission of reducing the opportunity and scope of data breaches in enterprise applications.
  • Implementation: Provide technical guidance and hands-on coding to ensure the seamless integration of AI features. Work closely with development teams to implement and optimize AI solutions.
  • Security: Contribute to the creation of AI-driven solutions for security, empowering enterprise CISOs and their teams with advanced tools for access management.
  • Collaboration: Foster collaboration with stakeholders, including the Chief Software Architect, engineering teams, and product management, to align AI strategies with overall business objectives.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, with demonstrated expertise in researching, prototyping, and implementing AI solutions. Experience in cybersecurity or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience with modern LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience with AI/ML services in at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant field. Master's degree or PhD is a plus.
  • Proficiency in machine learning, natural language processing, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Python, Golang, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with access graph analysis, risk monitoring, and threat remediation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for staying abreast of the latest advancements in AI and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and operations.

The base annual compensation range being offered for this role depending on individual candidate level and experience is $180,000 to $240,000 and it provides an opportunity to participate in equity ownership of our technology startup.
