We also launched CMF by Nothing, our sub-brand focused on making wonderful design accessible to all. In March 2024, we welcomed our third smartphone, Phone (2a). A powerfully unique device that enables even more people to experience the best of Nothing innovation.

A few weeks later in April 2024, we welcomed our new audio line-up. Introducing Ear, our best-ever audio experience, and Ear (a); the brightest, most vivid new member of the Nothing family.

The Role:

The Head of Marketing will define and lead Nothing’s consumer marketing efforts for its growing business in the Middle East. This role will be responsible for marketing strategy and execution of that strategy in the region. You will help Nothing leadership bring its technology and consumer first global approach and adapt it for users in UAE, Saudi Arabia and MEA region. This role will work closely with the Middle East leadership, global sales and the Headquarters marketing leadership in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a brand & marketing growth strategy by shaping and communicating our Global vision and mission in the MEA region.
  • Define the core target group, value proposition, elasticities around core benefits etc. and lead the short and long-term brand & marketing planning.
  • Serve the role of brand custodian for all communication from tactical campaigns, to external comms, social media etc.
  • Drive local marketing collaboration with business partners and like-minded brands to build audiences which are strategic to Nothing, and maintain collaborative and mutually beneficial marketing relationships.
  • Nurture and build Nothing community with focus on building a strong advocacy.
  • Proactively collaborate with MEA Sales Team & Global Marketing team in aligning various business initiatives.
  • Develop view and recommendation on correct marketing mix and spends in the region.
  • Build, manage and coach a high performing team.
  • Manage budget, annual planning process, and ongoing process improvement.
  • Develop view and recommendation on correct marketing mix and spends in the region.
  • Incorporate test and learn approach to quickly improve efforts.
  • Work with business leaders to define longer term initiatives and organisation building.
  • Identify, prioritise, and marketing campaigns and supporting activities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience as Marketing Head with Global FMCG, consumer tech, other new age companies/start-ups with exposure in leading marketing team is a must
  • Experience within a rapidly growing new age start-up is advantageous but not essential
  • Strategic mindset, digitally savvy and ability to forge local partnership/collaborations .
  • Experience building local campaigns from inception to execution while retaining brand
  • Strong managerial experience with careful attention to processes and frameworks aimed at continuously maximising team’s output efficiency
  • Thorough understanding of all marketing verticals and with a proven track record of successfully executing 360° marketing campaigns
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, able to get buy-in from stakeholders within the company and our India partners to drive our joint business plans
  • Has entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable with changing environments as well as multiple overlapping projects
  • Enjoys the hustle of a start up with the impact of a global business
  • Ability to proactively conceive and suggest new approaches and solutions, influence senior leaders on key strategic issues
  • Consumer centric mindset and ability to understand different cultural references
  • Ability to understand and work with consulting content and thought leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Willing to travel within Middle East (and potentially other locations) as needed
